The most effective way to prevent a hangover after a night-out is to keep yourself hydrated. To stay away from all the headaches in the morning of the night-out, you should keep drinking water on the day of your party.

Also, it is necessary to eat before heading out to your party venue. Through doing this, your blood sugar levels are regulated. The following food could benefit you greatly before your big night with your colleagues:

  • lean protein (think turkey, chicken breast, fish),
  • whole grains, and
  • low on fat and salt.

Truthfully, it will be difficult to remember these tips once you enter into the club or bar to party; because most of the time, you will be thinking of fun and enjoyment by then. Nevertheless, if you do not want to be wasted, do your best to keep these tips in mind:

  • Avoid pre-made mixes; they are high in sugar calories and artificial coloring.
  • Keep in mind where you are ordering; sports bars often use mixes, restaurant bars often serve pure drinks.
  • Limit the juice; it might trigger the dehydration of your body.
  • Avoid caffeine; whether they are energy drinks or cola.
  • Opt to buy drinks with short ingredients lists.

The first thing you should do upon arriving home sloppily is to drink at least 8 to 10 ounces of water; you would need this to fight overeating as your body often misinterprets thirst from hunger. Also, it would be advantageous to keep unhealthy foods away from your sight after drinking a lot as this would increase the risk of you, getting a hangover after sleeping.
